History

On July 10, 1983, five interested Lions (Jerry DeTurk, Reg Gemmill, Tim McCaulley, Amos Shatzer and Larry Shaull) met to discuss the possibility of forming an organized group to promote further pin trading interest in Pennsylvania.

With the assistance of Bill Smith, president of the Virginia Pin Traders and First Vice President of the Lions International Pin Trading Club, a provisional constitution and by laws were formulated.  On July 12, 1983 letters were sent to Lions announcing the formation of the ‘P.T.C. P.  By the end of September 1983 Lions sent applications for membership.
